Little Hearts, Big Bellies

Just a quick update to say that Cameron went to his cardio follow-up exam yesterday. Some of you may recall the fine adventure two plus years ago when Cameron was diagnosed with a small hole in his heart. His follow-up was today with an ECG and ultrasound which went VERY well. Cameron chose to bring Dexter for some additional cuddling, and  I believe Arras chose gf arrowroot cookies as the temptation in the ECG challenge. We didn’t get any information from this event; we have to go back in a few weeks for a consultation with the heart doctor.  Cameron was dropped off at Tammy’s just after 10am and Arras came home to announce that all went well and Cameron weighs a good 35 pounds, the weight limit in all my baby carriers except the backpack.  We are looking for size 4 clothes now for Cameron, so if anyone has hand-me-downs, hand ‘em down.

Master Jackson is a strapping 25 pounds, and wearing a loose 18 months in apparel. His hair is curly right after a bath but by the next morning is only bushy at the sides and flat on top which prompts us to call him “crazy old man”.  He has four teeth, another cutting through on the bottom, and has taken to standing unassisted  until he feels wobbly, then lowering himself gently to the floor, reminding me of ballet dancers I have seen fold themselves into sit in one smooth move. He’s like peanut butter, that one.

Happy belated valentine’s day. Our hearts are doing well over here. Hope yours are well where ever you are.
